SPECIAL TIP:

Chakra Healing Can Enhance Your Whole Life

A Chakra Perspective

An alignment point in the body that is able to receive, associate with and transmit the life force of energy is called a chakra. It is a word from Sanskrit which means the sphere of mans aural energy or a continually spinning wheel. Traditional Hindu text maintains that there are tens of thousands of chakra points in the human body. However, the most essential of these various chakras are the seven chakra points that run along the spinal column to the crown of the head.

The root or base chakra, the sex or navel chakra, the stomach or solar plexus chakra, the heart chakra, the throat chakra, the brow or third eye chakra and the crown chakra are the seven major chakras of the body. These main chakra points of the body can receive and transmit energy to and from its universal surroundings including various elements and the individuals around it. They are able to influence the spiritual, mystical, emotional, intellectual, corporeal and psychological activities of an individual all by themselves.

Whether you chose to take on a point of view that comes from the Hindus mystical perception of the external and internal experience of an individual, the modern psychology of explanation of the consciousness and thought patterns or Chinese medicine, you will find a common thread within them all. This point is that the chakras are distinct when it comes to their explanations or definitions.

Whether or not we are awake the chakras are in constant motion. This constant activity will influence the structure, appearance, physical disorders, glandular processes as well as our thoughts and deeds. However, if there is a chakra malfunction in one or more points that can be brought on by various reasons an imbalance will develop which will make itself known in other areas of our being.

This happens because all the seven major chakras correspond with the associated endocrine gland within our body. When there is any type of imbalance in the functioning of a chakra it influences our emotional and physical processes and then reveals a disorder in the normal pattern of behavior or activity by means of the endocrine gland it associates with.

Maintaining the Balance of Chakra Using the above as our point of beginning, we can assume safely that the majority of our ailments and illnesses are related to our chakras. Even though there may not be enough materialization of imbalance or illness, there may yet be concerns or emotions that come from our childhood that influence us spiritually, emotionally and physically.

One of the biggest causes of chakra imbalance is the repressed or forgotten emotional baggage we carry due to those past traumatic experiences. Many individuals habitually bury their bad memories into their subconscious, unaware that these emotional toxins that are buried inside them will influence their bodies on a cellular level. Therefore, it is essential to deal with emotional baggage once and for all in order to maintain a proper balancing of the chakras which ignites a healing process to begin on the physical self.

Chakra Healing is good for the Body. We directly influence our chakras when we take on such activities as aromatherapy, color therapy and Reiki healing by bringing balance to the chakras while using such items as gemstones, pendulums and crystals.

The physical and breathing exercises that are performed in yoga is beneficial in maintaining the balance of the charkas of the body, many individuals enjoy attending yoga exercise classes.

There are other methods of chakra healing, they are meditation to keep the mind focused on a thought, awareness or object for a specific amount of time, a guided visualization which can be done while using CDs or audio tapes in order to encourage relaxation techniques and natural healing in order to reduce stress while promoting relaxation and harnessing mind power.

The chakras work constantly to maintain the body, even though we cannot see or touch them.

For there to be chakra balance the body must be nourished in order to enjoy optimal health. The seven major chakras benefit from specific foods that help to maintain balance.

Root vegetables and foods that are rich in protein and spices help to nourish the root chakra. The sacral chakra that associates with the sexual and creative being is nourished by such foods as sweet fruits, nuts, cinnamon, vanilla and seeds such as sesame and caraway. Spicy mints, dairy products, yogurt, pastas, bread and cereals nourish the solar plexus chakra that inspires our sense of self confidence and self love.

The heart chakra takes nourishment from green leafy vegetables and green tea. Tangy fruits like apples and peaches as well as the consumption of plenty of fruit juices and water aid in nourishing the throat chakra.

The brow or third eye chakra which enhances our sharpness of third eye sight and an in-depth sense of our own psychical gifts is nourished by consuming grapes, blueberries, grape juice and wine.

The crown chakra, which is our spiritual and emotional center will benefit from being detoxified. This is achieved by fasting and the ritual inhalation of various herbs and incense.

When we influence our chakras by stimulation, we do influence our health. When we do so we become more responsive in our everyday and spiritual life, while we are more able to tune in completely to our surroundings and various other elements of the metaphysical and physical environment in which we live our lives.
